Cal-Ore Life Flight, an award winning leader in medical transportation, provides safe, caring and dependable ground and air transportation for people in medical emergencies. Cal-Ore provides service to all in need. It does so on a self-supporting basis through user fees only. Cal-Ore receives no taxpayer subsidies. Cal-Ore Life Flight offers full service, Advanced Life Support (ALS), 24 hour, emergency ground and air transport. Cal-Ore's seven (7) aircraft transport patients to destinations throughout California, Oregon and other bordering states as authorized by the sending physician. Cal-Ore's eight (8) ALS ambulances respond to more than 3,000 911 calls annually. Since inception, Cal-Ore has responded to over 50,000 air and ground ambulance calls. Cal-Ore's professional staff consists of over 60 highly trained individuals dedicated to serving the needs of our communities. Cal-Ore's air ambulance home base is located at Jack McNamara Field in Crescent City, CA (CEC) along with a satellite bases at Murray Field in Eureka, CA (EKA) and Arcata, CA (ACV). Their ground ambulance bases are located in Brookings and Gold Beach,OR. In addition, Cal-Ore provides non-emergent wheelchair van transports; a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at the Crescent CIty, CA airport; a Hertz rental car agency; and, certified classes in CPR, First Aid, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, TNCC, AMLS, & NRP.
