Cal-Ore Donates $4,550 to Local Fire Agencies (July 30, 2009 - Press Release) |
||||
As part of an ongoing effort to assist local volunteer agencies, Cal-Ore Life Flight recently donated $4,550 to Curry Count Fire departments. Cal-Ore Life Flight delivered checks to all volunteer agencies in their 911 response area: Agness Fire, Brookings Fire, Cape Ferrelo Fire, Cedar Valley Fire, Gold Beach Fire, Harbor Fire, Ophir Fire, Pistol River Fire, and Winchuck Fire. Cal-Ore President, Dan Brattain, said, “Curry County is very fortunate to have such dedicated groups of professional and well trained volunteers. The volunteer fire agencies greatly assist our company in providing the highest quality Emergency Medical Services to the community.” Joe Gregorio, General Manager for Cal-Ore, presented the checks to each agency at the July 15th Curry County Fire Chief’s meeting in Gold Beach. Joe noted that the fire departments play an integral role in assisting with first responses, accident scenes, and patients requiring additional assistance. In addition to the donations, Cal-Ore also provides on-going training to these agencies as well as medical supplies and equipment to assist them as needed. Gregorio encouraged local residents to “thank the many fire department volunteers for all they do in our community and to support their agencies as much as possible.” |
